On June 9, 2016, Kaveladze was one of at least eight people who attended a meeting with Trump campaign officials at Trump Tower. Kaveladze’s boss, Aras Agalarov, helped set up the meeting on behalf of the Russian government by facilitating a communication channel between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign. According to emails released by Donald Trump, Jr., the meeting was for the purpose of providing intelligence damaging to Hillary Clinton from the Russian government as part of their effort to support Trump.
